Ashok Krishnamurthi
Executive Chairman

Ashok Krishnamurthi is co-founder of Xsigo Systems and serves as its executive chairman. Mr. Krishnamurthi has over 18 years of experience in management and engineering. Prior to Xsigo Systems, he held the positions of Vice President and General Manager of the Infrastructure Product Line at Juniper Networks. Mr. Krishnamurthi has also held engineering and management positions at Sun Microsystems, Philips, Xerox PARC, and AT&T Bell Labs. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, and a BS from Manipal, India.



Lloyd Carney
CEO

Lloyd Carney’s 25-year career encompasses a proven track record of leading and growing technology companies. Prior to joining Xsigo, Mr. Carney was general manager of IBM's Netcool Division, which acquired Micromuse where Carney had been chairman and CEO. IBM's Netcool Division provides IT and telecom infrastructure management tools to a variety of customers in enterprise computing, transportation, and wireless networking. Prior to Micromuse, Carney was COO at Juniper Networks, where he oversaw the sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and customer service organizations. He also has headed up three divisions at Nortel Networks, including the Core IP Division, the Wireless Internet Division and the Enterprise Data Division. Mr. Carney currently sits on the Board of Directors at Cypress Semiconductor and at BigBand Networks.



Cheng Tang
VP Engineering

Cheng Tang is a founding member of Xsigo Systems, and oversees its R&D organization. Mr. Tang has over 18 years experience in engineering and management. He has held positions as principal engineer, engineering manager, and director at Xsigo Systems. Prior to Xsigo, Mr. Tang was senior engineering staff at RedBack Networks leading the microcode development for its routing and subscriber management products. Mr. Tang also served for 3 years at Cisco as senior engineer developing its Ethernet Switch Product, and worked at Hewlett-Packard as UNIX kernel developer.

Mr. Tang holds both BS and MS in Geophysics from Yunnan University and Chinese Academy of Science. He also has MS in Earth Science and Computer Engineering, both from University of California, Santa Cruz.

 


Jon Toor
VP Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Toor brings over 20 years of storage experience to Xsigo. Prior to Xsigo, he served at ONStor as Vice President of Marketing. Before ONStor, Mr. Toor was Senior Director of Marketing at Maxtor, leading the marketing department of the company's Network Systems Group, a startup NAS vendor. Prior to that, Mr. Toor served for two years as Vice President of Marketing for Micropolis, a developer of hard disk drives. He also worked at Quantum as Director of Marketing, managing the strategic direction of the company's enterprise storage products, and at Seagate, where he served as an engineering manager. Mr. Toor holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, a B.A. in Economics, and an MBA, all from Stanford University.



S. K. Vinod
Co-founder & VP Business Development

S.K. Vinod is a co-founder of Xsigo Systems, and leads its business development efforts. He has over 12 years of experience in marketing and product management of servers, microprocessors, and ASICs. He was previously at Sun Microsystems, where he was responsible for the Blade Server and Entry Server product lines. Prior to Sun, S.K was at Xerox PARC.

 

Mr. Vinod has an MBA from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and has completed additional coursework at the University of California, Irvine. . Mr. Vinod served over 12 years in the Merchant Marine.



Ariel Cohen
CTO

Prior to joining Xsigo Systems, Dr. Cohen was Principal Scientist and Architect at Topspin Communications. He focused on RDMA-based solutions for virtual I/O, high-performance computing, and databases. Before that, he was the Director of Network Software Research at Bell Labs where he focused on web caching, layer 4-7 switching and load balancing.


Dr. Cohen holds a BS in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and both an MS and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. He is the author of research papers in the areas of storage systems for multimedia, web switching, and RDMA-based protocols, and holds several patents in these areas.



Bruce Fingles
VP of Product Management and IT

Bruce Fingles is responsible for the Product Management and Information Technology functions at Xsigo and brings over 25 years of Information Technology experience.  Prior to Xsigo, Bruce was the CIO and head of customer services for Micromuse, which was acquired by IBM.  Prior to Micromuse Bruce ran the infrastructure and customer support functions at numerous software and hardware companies including Oblix, an identity management software company, Recourse Technologies, a security software company, and at Ridge Technologies and Crag Technologies.

 


Randy Ziffer
VP Operations

Randy Ziffer is responsible for managing Xsigo's global manufacturing and distribution operations. He has over thirty years of manufacturing and supply chain management experience in the computer, data networking and telecommunications industries. 

 

Randy has held various management positions at computer companies including Wang Laboratories, Sun Microsystems and Dell Computer. At Sun, he was responsible for setting up and managing the company's European manufacturing operation in Linlithgow, Scotland. Mr. Ziffer also successfully managed the spin-off of Sun's East Coast Manufacturing Division, which became Mack Technologies (a contract manufacturer). As President of Mack Technologies, he grew the business to over $300 million in three years. More recently, Randy held the position of Vice President of Operations at data networking and telecommunications start-up companies including Ipsilon Networks, Calient Networks, and Atrica. He has extensive international business experience, with seven years of expatriate assignments in England, Scotland and Singapore. Mr. Ziffer studied Engineering Management at Boston University.



Mike Moffat
VP Customer Service


Mike Moffat brings 20+ years of experience in the networking and telecommunication industries to lead Xsigo’s Systems Worldwide Support Services. Prior to joining Xsigo, Mike was the Vice President of Customer Service and Manufacturing at PacketMotion, a network security developer. Mike was also Senior Director of Technical Support Services at Extreme Networks, where he created and managed its Worldwide Support Organization. Prior to Extreme Networks, Mike was Regional Manager at Cisco Systems/StrataCom managing a Customer Service team supporting the WAN business unit. Prior to Cisco Systems/StrataCom Mike has held various managerial positions at Equatorial Communications, Tymnet and, Pacific Bell. Mike received his bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University.

 


Richard Fabiano
VP Finance

Richard Fabiano has served as Vice President of Finance at Xsigo since May, 2006. Prior to Xsigo, Mr. Fabiano was co-founder and Vice President of Finance for NETGEAR Inc., which he joined as a startup through their successful IPO and secondary offering. Mr. Fabiano also held Director of Finance positions with Bay Networks and Tandem Computers where he was Controller for Worldwide Manufacturing Operations. He began his career with IBM Corp., holding finance and accounting positions in Boca Raton, Fla. and Santa Clara, Ca. Mr. Fabiano received a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Richard serves on the Board of Directors for the Keypoint Credit Union, an $800M financial institution in Santa Clara, Ca.

 


Charlie Will
VP International Operations

As Vice President of International Operations, Mr. Will is responsible for international sales, systems engineering and partner development. Mr. Will brings more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the networking and data center market. Prior to joining Xsigo, Mr. Will has held several sales executive positions within North America, as well as internationally including StrataCom, Cisco, Juniper and Force10 Networks.
